Date: Friday, January 17, 2020Sunday, January 19, 2020
Departure: 4:30 pm FBC East Parking Lot
Return: approx. 12:00 pm
Location: Camp Alexander
Cost: $40 per Scout (Adults no charge unless Ice Climbing)
Vehicles: We will need help with drivers.

Make sure to bring warm clothing for this weekend, along with snow gear, as snow is possible. We will be sleeping in heated cabins, but still need sleeping bags and sleeping pads. If there is enough snow to go sledding, you need to provide your own sleds.

FOR ICE CLIMBING SCOUTS:
Personal Gear List:
Waterproof pants and jacket for winter conditions. Please be aware the crampons are sharp and may cut your pants if you’re not careful.
Gloves. Tight fitting so that you can grip the Technical Ice Axe as you climb. Waterproof gloves work the best and you may need to bring two sets.
Sunglasses or ski goggles. Depending on weather conditions goggles may be necessary to stay warm and continue climbing.
Wool or Fleece hat. To wear under the helmet to stay warm as you climb. Along with any other winter clothing to stay warm.
